Open Access Policy

Pactum is an open-access journal (Diamond Open Access, according to UNESCO) and does not charge authors for the submission, peer review, or publication of their articles (it does not apply any publication fees or Article Processing Charges [APCs]), nor does it charge readers for consulting, downloading, or printing the content. This commitment aligns with the principle that knowledge generated with public funding must be available, without barriers, to the academic community and society at large.

Immediate Access

All articles are available in full text from the moment of their online publication, without any embargo period. There is no early "pay-per-view" version nor a hybrid scheme of temporary restricted access.

Indexing and Visibility

To maximize the reach of open access, Pactum manages comprehensive metadata for each article (see Metadata Policy), assigns a DOI to all content, and maintains a presence in indexing databases such as Latindex, LatinREV, MIAR, and ERIH PLUS, facilitating its discovery by the international academic community.

Relationship with Other Journal Policies

This policy is complemented by Pactum's Self-Archiving Policy, Digital Preservation Policy, and Metadata Policy, which together guarantee not only free access but also the long-term availability and permanence of the published knowledge.
